Small changes in routines are key to a calmer pack

Most stress in dogs is triggered by things and events in their everyday life. Expectations, in combination with imbalances in resources, are some of the main reasons for behaviours such as barking, whining, excessive chewing and dog fights.

But what if it was possible to increase the harmony within your group of dogs, without spending more money, energy or time? What if all it takes are minor adjustments in your daily routines?

Common stress-related behaviours in dog groups:
    • Food-related stress
    • Excessive barking & whining
    • Pushing through opened doors
    • Dog fights
    • Stressful pacing

    About Webinar

    Stress Reducing Routines
    in Sleddog Housing

Groups of dogs tend to build their own culture of behaviours related to the daily routines. In fact, each and every individual is having an impact on the group as a whole - for better or worse.

Regulation of the individuals' habits and impact on the group as a whole, is essential when managing a pack of sleddogs. Not only is it an environmental issue in respect to neighbours and family; harmony is also of importance for the welfare and last – but not least – the performance of the dogs.

There are, however, a number of ways that you can facilitate for your dogs to make the right choices of behaviours, affecting both their everyday life and their impact on the group level. And the good news are: they are easily integrated in your daily routines and does not require a lot of extra effort..!
